Assessment

Many clients want to include assessments as part of the coaching process. This can help identify blind spots and gaps between the "is" and "ought" that need to be closed. Following are some of the assessment tools and processes we have found to be valuable:

  • 360-degree feedback either from interviews or questionnaires. This usually includes feedback from
    • Self
    • Boss (could be direct boss or chairman of board)
    • Peers
    • Direct reports
    • Others (could include board members, vendors, customers and spouse)
  • Chronological In-depth Structured Interview with coach
  • Paper & pencil or on-line questionnaires to assess leadership and other important skills
